The City of Venice has built a network infrastructure based on optical fibre to provide cutting edge services to residents, city users and tourists and to ensure full digital citizenship.

VENIS has implemented the network infrastructure with over 126 km of optic fibre backbone and more than 200 Public WIFI hot spots all over the city.
